As soon as I clicked the link for this at work today, I knew I would lose the next 7 minutes of it to it.

I just did it again when I got home.

The sheer power of these waves at Teahupoo is absolutely mesmerizing. A little M83 helps with that, I suppose, but seriously…why? And HOW?

It’s tough to imagine being there and witnessing it…Kelly Slater’s quote about the day in last August is perfect: 

Witnessing this was a draining feeling being terrified for other people’s lives all day long, it’s life or death. Letting go of that rope one time can change your life and not many people will ever experience that in their life.

It’s easy to forget how glorious planet Earth is at times, especially when you’re working back to back to back to back 10+ hour days indoors. This is a good reminder.
